Wildgoose Rural Training Visitor Centre and Bonnie’s Tearoom
Our new Visitor Centre and Tearoom opened on June 12th 2022 and represents a gateway to our wonderful Nature Reserve. You can enjoy fresh coffee, homemade cakes and other delicious dishes from our growing menu and specials board. We also encourage our visitors to take a leisurely walk around the Nature Reserve amongst a varied mosaic of habitats.
Bonnie’s is part of Wildgoose Rural Training, where possible we will use produce grown right here on the farm. If we can't source local or British ingredients then we will aim for the best quality alternative with the least possible food miles involved. Our meat will be from local suppliers who offer high welfare standards and don't compromise their environmental impact.
Why Bonnie’s?
Bonnie was a member of the Wildgoose team who sadly passed away but her legacy of care, good food and love continues to be remembered. She had a simple philosophy in life-
• Don't be afraid to show your feelings
• Never forget to care
• Always look on the bright side of life and smile
• Every day is a gift
What is Wildgoose Rural Training?
Wildgoose is a Care Farm, a centre that provides care and meaningful; day opportunities for adults with learning difficulties and young people who struggle with school. In 2017 the charity was able to buy this old quarry site and redundant asparagus field. In 2019 we opened the main hub and have continued growing ever since. You are welcome to stay and enjoy the Wildlife Reserve. Wildgoose Rural Training is a very special place that is loved by all the staff and students who are here. Once you set foot here you will never be the same again.
